Sit On Every Chair

Sit naturally on any chair, bench or seat in the world — ox_lib based, standalone

Every chair in Los Santos is furniture theater: thousands of benches, stools and seats scattered across the map that players walk past because the game never let them use one. This script fixes that single, strangely important gap — walk up to any chair, press the key, and your character actually sits in it, correctly aligned, with a natural animation.

Any chair means any chair

  • Works across the map's seating automatically: park benches, diner booths, bar stools, office chairs, bus stops and courtroom galleries.
  • Detection handles the seat's position and orientation, so characters settle into place instead of hovering beside it.
  • Multiple seat props in a row seat multiple players — a full bench at the pier finally looks like a full bench.
  • Standing up is as clean as sitting down, with no stuck states or clipping exits.

Why sitting changes scenes

  • Conversations gain geography: interrogations happen across a table, dates happen in the booth, gang meetings circle the warehouse chairs.
  • Public spaces come alive when the people in them occupy them like people.
  • Screenshots and streams instantly look more human — bodies at rest read as living city, not idle NPCs.

Honest, tiny tech

  • Built on ox_lib, the dependency most modern servers already load; nothing else required.
  • Standalone beyond that — ESX, QBCore, Qbox or frameworkless, it behaves identically.
  • Keybind and interaction settings adjust in an open, readable config.
  • Effectively zero performance cost: it does nothing until someone sits.

Small scripts, big texture

Immersion is mostly an accumulation of small permissions — to sit, to lean, to exist casually in the world. This one costs less than lunch and touches every public space on your map. Stack it with our other activity scripts and the Weapon Holding Animation for a city that moves like it is lived in.

Installation is genuinely a one-minute job: drop the resource in, ensure it after ox_lib and restart. There is nothing to map and nothing to whitelist — the script discovers seating on its own, which is exactly why owners keep it installed for years without ever thinking about it again.
